Edward DeShazer is an award-winning speaker, educator, and school leader. He was also a special education student that was suspended from school 30+ times and expelled three times. He knows what it was like to struggle as a student, but also knows what it takes to be successful in the world of education.

Meet Edward DeShazer
Overcoming adversity, Edward transformed his personal challenges, including multiple school suspensions, expulsions, and even time in jail, into success. From earning an athletic and academic scholarship to St. Cloud State University to working towards a Doctorate at Liberty University, Edward's journey has been defined by determination and commitment. Today, he proudly wears the titles of husband, father, and Executive Director of the Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy (GHTCA) in Milwaukee. Under Edward's leadership, GHTCA transformed from a one-star to a four-star school in six years, earning him recognition as a Notable Minority and BIPOC Executive by BizTimes in 2021 and 2023 respectively. Edward's passion for education and equity has led him to serve on several nonprofit boards and to become one of the premiere inspirational speakers for schools, educational conferences, and universities nationwide.
